Finding The Perfect Enclosed Cargo Trailers
As someone who constantly finds herself volunteering to help others in need, whether it be moving furniture or being the one who’s pick up truck is used to bring all the gear to camping trips, I decided I would look into enclosed cargo trailers. With all of the moving and lugging around of items, all of the weight was becoming too much for my little truck to handle.
Before I started my research on pricing and different styles, I went over my family’s finances and realized that my best bet would be to start with used cargo trailers for sale because we would not be able to afford a brand new one. My husband suggested that maybe I would be better off getting an enclosed car trailer rental every time I needed to move items but I don’t think that would be very cost effective. In the long run, I believe just purchasing a used trailer at a low price would work best.
Not knowing too much about trailer prices, I didn’t have much hope that I would find one that was reasonably priced. After just a quick search online, I was astonished to find that not only were there cheap used enclosed cargo trailers that I could afford but I could actually afford a brand new one! I was not willing to pay more than $5,000 for the trailer, so I only looked at models that were less than that and I found quite a few that would work for my needs.
Just some of the great deals that I found were a 7×16 Tandem Cargo Trailer with a ramp that sells for $3,795 and is brand new. I also located a 6×12 single axle with double doors 2009 model and the price was a very low $2,260. These trailers, although very affordable seemed to big for what I wanted to use them for, so I finally settled for one of a smaller scale. I actually found the perfect size and price at Lowe’s. It is 4 x 6 enclosed cargo trailers, model # 4X6LCG and I bought it for the amazingly low price of $1,360. It is the perfect size to help my friends and family move pieces of furniture and for me to load up all of our camping gear. In addition, with the money I saved on the trailer, we can afford to go camping a lot more this year.
